Tiburtina Station
Tiburtina Station is the second train station in Rome. Well connected with the whole city thanks to the metro station and many bus stops, it is placed in a quite central place, nevertheless it is not in the city center. It is very close to the rich neighborhood around Piazza Bologna.
Near the Tiburtina railway station, you can find the main bus terminal for buses connecting cities nearby Rome and outside the Lazio region.
By taken the Metro Line B direction Termini you can get to Rome center. Buses 649 or 492 can be also useful.
Notice that the station is just under the Tangenziale Est, one of the main motorway-rings of Rome. Would you look for a lodging around this station, and would you prefer a calm place, an internal street near the Piazza Bologna square can be a perfect choice. From Piazza Bologna and surroundings, is easy to get to the station, even by foot. From Via Tiburtina is quite harder, and a bus would be preferable.
