Roma Termini is the main railway station of Rome, connecting the city with many national and european destinations. Inside you will find restaurants, travel agencies, bookshops, supermarket, clothing stores, drugstore, banks and much more. Around the station there are every kind of lodging, from cheap accomodation in Hostels and Bed and Breakfast, Pension houses, to 4 star Hotels. Roma Termini main railway station is also the central point of the transportation network of Rome. Metro Lines A and B stops here, many bus lines, taxis, and car hiring.To get to Vatican City and major attractions of the city, you can go by Metro Line A, or bus (Lines 40, 64). To get to the Colosseum use Metro Line B.
Tourists Information Office is located beside the track number 24 (close to sign Biglietteria). It opens from 8 am to 21. You will find there also car rental and a post office.
The Air Terminal is the track where trains connecting the Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci Airport arrives and departs. As it is a little distant from the main atrium, is better that you ask around which is the best door you can exit trough.
In the main atrium of Roma Termini, there are three floors with stores, restaurants and shops where travellers may find what they need for a pleasant stay in Rome.
The current building was designed by Leo Calini, Eugenio Montuori, Massimo Castellazzi, Vasco Fadigati, Achille Pintonello and Annibale Vitellozzi. It was inaugurated in 1950. The building is characterized by the extremely long, modernist façade in travertine and by the gravity-defying double curve of the cantilever roof in reinforced concrete. Because of these, it carries the nickname the Dinosaur.

Transportation from the Rome Train Station:
To Leonardo Da Vinci Airport: Leonardo Express train every 30 minutes from 6:37 am to 9:37 pm, lenght 30 min, € 5. Taxi: € 45 and up. To Ciampino Airport: There is no rail transport at Ciampino Airport. The options are to take a bus to a rail station (either metro or regular train) or to take a bus or taxi all the way.
To other railway stations from the Rome Train Station: Metro Italian Bus & Train service indicated by a capital red M. Buses: operated by ATAC from 5:30 am to 11:30 pm.

Roma Tiburtina Station is the second-largest railway station in Rome, after Roma Termini. Located in the north-eastern part of the city, it is being redeveloped as a hub for the Italian high speed rail services, which won't pass through Termini, as it is a terminal station. Roma Tiburtina station is served by Line B of the Rome metro (connections to Termini). The station also features a large and important bus station.

It is very easy to get to the Colosseum from the Roma Termini Station by Metro (just 2 stops). Around the Colosseum area there are many restaurants, theatres, bars, discos, pubsshops, and lodgings.
The Colosseum or Coliseum, originally the Flavian Amphitheatre (Latin: Amphitheatrum Flavium, Italian Anfiteatro Flavio or Colosseo), is an elliptical amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy, the largest ever built in the Roman Empire. It is one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and engineering. Occupying a site just east of the Roman Forum, its construction started between 70 and 72; originally capable of seating about 50,000 spectators, the Colosseum remained in use for nearly 500 years.
The Colosseum today is now a major tourist attraction in Rome with thousands of tourists each year paying to view the interior arena, though entrance for EU citizens is partially subsidised, and under 18 and over 65 EU citizens' entrances are free. Brief guide to visit Rome Rome is a open-wide museum itself. The city houses many famous art masterpieces, both painting, sculptures and architecture. Museums, Galleries and Monuments from every era, from antique to modern times. Walking by the Via dei Fori Imperiali, you will see the Colosseum on one side and the Trajan Column on the other. Churches and chapels are decorated with painting and sculpture masterpieces, as those inside the S.Maria del Popolo church, S.Luigi dei Francesi church, S.Maria della Vittoria church, S.Pietro in Vincoli church, S.Paolo fuori le Mura church, for not mentioning S.Pietro in Vaticano.
The antique Romans are famous for is their architecture and many examples of this can be seen throughout the city. Walk the via sacra and some other old romans streets as Via Appia. Tons of marvel at the ancient Roman Foro and the awe inspiring Colosseum dating back over two thousand years. Walking down from the Campidoglio Hill, the Marcello Theatre, which was the first building as a theatre in the history. And there are many other magical places as the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps with its impressive flight of marble steps lined with many street side cafes, bars and restaurants.
