Trastevere is one of the most colorful places in Rome. The medieval houses, the small streets, the squares drives you into a magical atmosphere. The zone is not exactly very well linked by public transportation, as there are no subways stations nearby. Nevertheless, you may fastly forget this inconvenience: most of the main hotspots of Rome are very close and you may just reach them by walk or bus. For example The Vatican is just 15 minutes away by walk, the Forum also, Campo de Fiori and Piazza Navona are just 10 minutes away.

To find a cheap Bed and Breakfast accommodation in this zone of Rome is not exactly an easy job. Do not expect very low rates as the place has become a rich quarter. In any case, you may find rooms from 45 EUR per person.Would you make your choice for this zone of Rome, better you reserve at least three months prior to your expected arrival, specially from April until October.

It is well you know that there is an old Trastevere and a new Trastevere. Not that the first one should be necessarily better than the second one, it just a matter of choice. The place is linked by the tramway.
