Budget Bed and Breakfast in Rome
Bed and Breakfasts located long the main streets Tuscolana or Tiburtina can be a good choice for those who has low budget. Nevertheless those are not the beautiest places in the city, usually with high and ugly buildings, there are many metro stops long those streets.
Some other places are beautiful but not so well linked. Flaminio, Parioli, Monteverde, Aurelio neighborhoods are example of it. Exception to the rule are Bed and Breakfast located near to a secondary railway station, or close to Villa Pamphilij or to Villa Borghese.
Finally staying at the EUR or Nomentana street are not so reccomendable, unless you specifically search for those places or visit the city to bussines or diplomatic reasons.
Staying in the surroundings can be also a nice option. In this case look for lodgings at the Casteli Romani: Marino, Albano, Frascati are well connected by frequent trains (30 - 45 min away). In the summer, weather is quit fresh overthere, and you can avoid the hassle of the city.
Some towns near Rome can be close to hell during summer, like Ciampino, Fiumicino, Ostia. Ladispoli, Cerveteri, Torvaianica are nice places to visit Rome's beaches, but not very well linked by train.
In any case, remember always to check comments on Tripadvisor, as it is the most reliable travellers comments in the web.
