Vatican Bed and Breakfast

A State in the State, the Vatican is exactly like another city inside Rome. Well priced accommodations are just outside the Vatican walls, but pay attention when you make your choice: Via Ottaviano, Via Germanico, Via delle Milizie, Via Giulio Cesare, Via Candia, Via della Giuliana, and some other streets in the Prati neighborhood can be a good choice for sure.

Some streets west from the Vatican can be a bad choice, nevertheless they seem to be close to Vatican itself when you watch the map. In fact, Via Anastasio passes in the back of the Vatican, where public access is not allowed. Anyway, that zone can be a good choice if room rate is low and you don't mind taking 15 minutes bus everytime.

On the south side of the Vatican, some places are really interesting to stay, just in the end of Via Gregorio VII.

Surprisingly, many cheap accommodations are around the Vatican, even this is one of the richest places in Rome. We cannot say te same about restaurants, and you hardly may find real good italian food for cheap prices. Would you be starving during your walk, try to search around the small streets in the Borgo.
