Rome is a wide range museum itself, and the city houses many of the world's most famous art masterpieces, both painting, sculptures and architecture. One thing the antique Romans are most famous for is their architecture and many examples of this can be seen throughout the city. Walk the via sacra and some other old romans streets. Tons of marvel at the ancient Roman Forum and the awe inspiring Colosseum dating back over two millennia. The Marcello Theatre was the first building theatre in the history. The Vatican houses the most astonishing collection of priceless treasures, visit St Peters Basilica and climb to the top of the dome where you can enjoy fantastic views over the city of Rome, then make for Fra Angelicos, Raphaels and Titians of the Pinacoteca and of course not forgetting, Michelangelos awe inspiring ceiling in the Sistine Chapel.
